Fig. 01 - A calm public site for NWWNI, centred on connection, events and community trust.

01 · The brief.

NWWNI needed a public home that felt safe, warm and practical for Nepalese women living in New Zealand. The site had to explain the organisation's purpose quickly, make events easy to find, and give new members a clear first step.

The audience spans generations and digital confidence levels, so the experience needed to stay welcoming without becoming vague.

02 · The friction.

The organisation had a strong mission, but the online journey needed a cleaner shape:

  • New visitors needed to understand the network without reading a long history.
  • Events and community updates needed a consistent home.
  • Contact pathways had to feel approachable and trustworthy.
  • The visual tone needed to balance care, confidence and cultural identity.

03 · The approach.

Lead with belonging. We shaped the homepage around a simple promise: a safe, inclusive and empowering space for connection.

Make participation obvious. Event routes, contact points and membership prompts are kept close to the content they support, so visitors can move from interest to action naturally.

Keep publishing light. The page structure works for small updates, event notices and future programmes without needing a redesign each time.

04 · The outcome.

NWWNI now has a clearer digital front door for members, partners and families looking for support, events and ways to connect.
