NZ Nepal Society
Fig. 01 · A story-led non-profit site with news, events and member pathways.

01 · The brief.

NZ Nepal Society needed a modern non-profit website that could carry its history, current work and community updates without becoming a maintenance burden.

The brief was straightforward: tell the story clearly, make updates simple, and help members find the next thing they could join.

02 · The friction.

The old experience made the society look quieter than it was:

  • News and event updates did not have a consistent home.
  • Contact pathways were split between people, pages and old posts.
  • Important context for new members was buried below operational details.
  • Publishing required too many decisions for a volunteer-led team.

03 · The approach.

Lead with story. We gave the homepage a narrative structure before the operational details, so new visitors understand why the society exists before they choose where to go.

Make updates repeatable. News, events and calls for volunteers use fixed content blocks that are quick to fill and hard to break.

Reduce the inbox load. Contact options are routed by intent, turning broad questions into directed conversations.

04 · The outcome.

The society came away with a cleaner public face and a simpler update rhythm, giving staff and volunteers one place to point people.
